A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running some company, for example. Since you may start receiving junk email messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic email messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you’ve got a Linux cloud web hosting with our company and you’d like to enable the catch-all functionality for a given mailbox that you’ve got in the hosting account, it will take literally just a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have set up under any domain registered in your account. You can choose one single address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all emails sent to mistyped addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button again will deactivate the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got activated email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notice and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you disable the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled without effort in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a mini sign conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With only one click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option through the contextual menu that will come into view. In case any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
